I will be honest with you: I am not the most active person. My usual idea of a good evening involves a sofa, a cup of tea and far too much scrolling on my phone. So when my friend suggested we try Activate Columbus for her birthday, I was sceptical, to say the least. An hour of running around lit-up rooms sounded like something designed for teenagers, not for someone whose main form of exercise is walking to the kitchen. I could not have been more wrong.

Stepping Into the Game at Activate Columbus

From the moment we checked in and strapped on our electronic wristbands, the whole place felt less like a venue and more like stepping inside a video game. The concept is brilliantly simple: you move through a series of high-tech rooms, each one a different challenge, and your wristband tracks every
