Mooney's greatest asset has always been his elite straight-line speed, and that hasn't diminished. Defenses still have to respect his ability to take the top off a secondary, which opens up underneath routes for his teammates and occasionally gifts him massive chunk plays. In fantasy terms, that big-play ability is exactly the sort of trait you want from a late-round flier. Whilst his target share has never quite reached alpha receiver levels, his efficiency per route run has remained respectable, and a single breakout performance can swing a matchup in your favour. In deeper leagues, particularly those with 14 or more teams, Mooney represents the kind of depth piece that wins you a preliminary round bye week whilst your stars rest or battle through injury. The key for 2026 is opportunity: if his quarterback situation stabilises and the offensive scheme leans into his strengths, the touchdown and yardage totals could easily exceed his average draft position.
