One thing I learnt pretty quickly is that a good reading log shouldn't just be for hefty novels. When I stumbled across Filipino komiks on Penlab, I realised my fichas were the perfect place to jot them down. Titles, creators, the emotions each story stirred up — it all goes on the sheet. There's something deeply satisfying about flipping through a stack of completed worksheets and seeing the full variety of what you've consumed, from dense literary fiction to bite-sized graphic storytelling. It validates every kind of reading, not just the "serious" stuff, and I reckon that's exactly how it should be.

Tracking Webtoons and Digital Reads on Paper

You might think digital reading doesn't belong on a printable sheet, but hear me out. I've been reading webtoons like Life in Orange on my phone during my commute, and logging each completed series on my ficha gives that scrolling a sense of accomplishment it otherwise lacks. There's a lovely tactile contrast between tapping through panels on a screen and then picking up a pen to fill in a row on paper. It slows you down just enough to reflect: did I actually enjoy that? Would I recommend it to a mate? Would I read it again?
