Andrews' ascent in the industry has been nothing short of remarkable. After beginning her career in print journalism, including time at the Chicago Tribune and The New York Times, she joined ESPN in 2018 as an NBA reporter covering the Golden State Warriors. Within a short span, her reporting earned national attention, and she became a familiar presence on programs such as NBA Today, which she hosts. In 2021, she made history as the first woman to host the NBA Draft on broadcast television, a milestone that cemented her status as a trailblazer. Like the beloved caped crusaders that dominate popular culture, Andrews has often been positioned as a hero for aspiring journalists, particularly young women of colour seeking representation in a traditionally male-dominated field.
