Number 6 Worksheets For Kindergarten - Free Printable PDF 2025

When my youngest started kindergarten last fall, I quickly learned that some numbers just click and others need a little extra love. For us, the number 6 was one of those tricky ones. Five felt natural because of fingers on one hand, but six? Six needed practice, patience, and a whole stack of number 6 worksheets for kindergarten before it finally stuck. If you're in the same boat, I want to share what worked for us and how we turned a frustrating week into one of my daughter's proudest learning moments.

I used to assume kids would just pick up numbers in order, but six genuinely trips up little learners. It looks a lot like a nine, and writing it requires that smooth curve down and around that can stump tiny hands. I found that dedicating a full week to the number 6 made a huge difference. We started each morning with a tracing worksheet, moved on to counting six objects, and finished with a colouring page featuring six of something she loved — six apples, six ladybugs, six balloons. The repetition didn't bore her the way I feared; it actually gave her confidence because she knew what to expect.
