A Career Built on Relentless Consistency

Drafted 24th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Oregon State, Steven Jackson quickly established himself as one of the most dependable ball carriers of his generation. From 2005 to 2012, he achieved something extraordinary: eight consecutive seasons rushing for over 1,000 yards. This remarkable streak placed him in rare company among the all-time greats of the game. By the time he retired, Jackson had amassed over 11,400 rushing yards, placing him among the top rushers in NFL history. He was selected to three Pro Bowls, twice earned All-Pro honours, and ranked among the league's most versatile threats, recording more than 3,300 receiving yards out of the backfield. His leadership in the locker room, often serving as the cornerstone of the Rams' offence during challenging rebuilding years, exemplified the character and resilience that the Hall of Fame seeks to honour.
