Who Is Jake Ferguson - Free Printable PDF 2025

If you have been following American football lately, or perhaps scrolling through celebrity sports headlines, you may have found yourself asking: who is Jake Ferguson? The answer is a rising star in the National Football League, best known as the tight end for the Dallas Cowboys. Drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin, Ferguson has steadily built a reputation as one of the most dependable pass-catching tight ends on the roster. His journey to the top, however, is a story of family legacy, hard work, and a little bit of Texas-sized opportunity.

Jake Ferguson was born on 18 January 1999 and grew up in Velva, North Dakota, before his family relocated to Wisconsin. Football runs deep in his blood — his grandfather, Barry Alvarez, is a legendary figure who coached the Wisconsin Badgers to multiple Rose Bowl victories and later served as the university's athletic director. Despite that famous surname, Ferguson carved out his own path, becoming a standout at Wisconsin before declaring for the draft. When veteran tight end Dalton Schultz departed Dallas, Ferguson seized the starting role and quickly became a favourite target in the Cowboys' offence, finishing with impressive receiving numbers that cemented his place in the starting line-up.
